We encourage all customers to carefully review these terms before purchasing from Vénus.
General Information
Vénus is a fine jewelry brand based in Auckland, New Zealand, with design, production, and fulfillment support across Auckland and Shanghai.
Our collections are crafted using genuine sterling silver, 18K gold vermeil, solid 14K and 18K gold, natural freshwater pearls, saltwater pearls, and selected lab-grown diamond details.
Because many Vénus pieces are handcrafted and made using natural materials, slight variations between pieces are normal and part of their individuality.
This may include variations in:
- Pearl shape and surface
- Natural luster and tone
- Handcrafted finishing details
- Texture and organic irregularities
- Stone placement and metal finishing
These characteristics are not considered faults or defects.
Eligibility To Purchase
By placing an order through our website, you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
- All information provided is accurate and complete
- You are authorized to use the selected payment method
- You accept these Terms & Conditions in full
Vénus reserves the right to refuse service or cancel orders where fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity is identified.
Product Information & Availability
We make every effort to ensure all product descriptions, images, pricing, dimensions, and material details are accurate and up to date.
However:
- Colors may appear differently depending on device settings and lighting
- Measurements may vary slightly due to handcrafted production
- Natural pearls and gemstones will always vary slightly from product photos
- Packaging and presentation may occasionally change without notice
All products remain subject to availability.
In some cases, products may become unavailable after an order is placed. If this occurs, customers will be contacted and offered an alternative, store credit, or refund.
Vénus reserves the right to discontinue products or modify collections at any time without notice.
Handmade & Natural Material Disclaimer
Vénus celebrates organic beauty and the individuality of genuine materials.
Natural pearls, precious metals, handcrafted textures, and artisanal finishing are intentionally preserved throughout our collections.
Unlike mass-produced fashion jewelry, Vénus pieces may contain subtle natural characteristics that reflect the authenticity of real materials and handmade craftsmanship.
These details are considered part of the artistic identity of the jewelry and are not classified as manufacturing faults.
Customized & Made-To-Order Jewelry
Customized, engraved, personalized, and made-to-order pieces are specially created for each customer.
Because of the individualized nature of these products:
- Production times may vary
- Slight design variations may occur
- Customized pieces are final sale
- Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun
Vénus reserves the right to refuse custom requests that are technically unsuitable, unsafe, or inconsistent with the brand’s design standards.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all submitted customization details, including spelling, sizing, initials, dates, and engraving information, are accurate before confirming the order.
Pricing & Currency
All prices displayed on our website are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change at any time without prior notice.
Although every effort is made to avoid pricing errors, Vénus reserves the right to correct inaccuracies, omissions, or pricing mistakes at any time, including after an order has been placed.
If a significant pricing error occurs, customers will be contacted before the order proceeds.
Promotions, Discounts & Vouchers
From time to time, Vénus may offer promotional discounts, store credit, vouchers, or special offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotions cannot be applied retrospectively
- Discount codes may not be combined
- Certain collections or custom pieces may be excluded
- Promotions may be modified or withdrawn at any time
Vénus Super Vouchers and Value Trade-In credits:
- Are non-transferable
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
- May have specific usage conditions
- May be combined with eligible promotions where stated
Vénus reserves the right to cancel promotional misuse, duplicate claims, or fraudulent activity.
Payments
We accept secure online payments through approved payment providers available at checkout.
Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully authorized and received.
Customers remain responsible for any:
- Currency conversion fees
- International transaction fees
- Bank charges
- Import taxes or customs fees imposed by third parties
Shipping & Delivery
Orders may be dispatched from our Auckland or Shanghai studios depending on product availability, craftsmanship requirements, and destination country.
Shipping timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to:
- Courier delays
- Customs inspections
- Weather conditions
- Peak holiday periods
- International transport disruptions
- Events outside our reasonable control
Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipping details are entered correctly at checkout.
Vénus is not responsible for parcels delayed, lost, stolen, or returned due to incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.
For security purposes, signature confirmation may be required for selected deliveries.
Once a parcel has been marked as delivered by the courier provider, responsibility transfers to the recipient.

International Duties & Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT, import taxes, local handling fees, or other government-imposed charges depending on the destination country.
These charges remain the responsibility of the customer.
Vénus is not responsible for customs delays or additional import-related costs imposed by international authorities.
If an order is refused or abandoned due to unpaid customs charges, return shipping fees and customs costs may be deducted from any applicable refund or store credit.
Returns & Exchanges
Due to the delicate and hygienic nature of fine jewelry, Vénus does not offer refunds for change of mind purchases.
Eligible items may qualify for exchange or store credit within the timeframe outlined in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Customized, personalized, engraved, made-to-order, and selected earrings are considered final sale unless a confirmed manufacturing fault is identified.
Returned items must be:
- Unworn
- In original condition
- Returned with original packaging
- Approved by our team prior to return shipment
Returns sent without authorization may not be accepted.
Warranty
Vénus offers a 6-month manufacturing warranty covering confirmed craftsmanship or material faults under normal wear conditions.
The warranty does not cover:
- Natural oxidation or tarnishing
- Scratches and surface wear
- Plating fade
- Impact damage
- Accidental breakage
- Improper handling
- Third-party repairs or modifications
- Loss of items or components
- Natural pearl variation
Warranty claims are assessed individually and may require photographic review before approval.

Value Trade-In Program
Eligible Vénus jewelry may qualify for our permanent Value Trade-In Program.
Participation in the Value Trade-In Program constitutes acceptance of the following additional terms and conditions.
Only jewelry originally purchased from Vénus is eligible for Value Trade-In assessment. Proof of purchase may be required before approval is granted.
Before sending any jewelry to Vénus, customers must first complete a Value Trade-In Request Form and wait for written email confirmation from our team. Trade-in items sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
Once approved, customers may send the jewelry to the address provided by our team for assessment.
After receiving the item, Vénus may:
- Clean the jewelry
- Inspect the condition of the piece
- Separate recoverable precious metal components
- Weigh eligible sterling silver, 14K gold, or 18K gold components
- Assess value based on current international precious metal market prices
For transparency, photos or videos of the weighing and assessment process may be provided to the customer by email.
Trade-in value is determined based on:
- Precious metal purity
- Recoverable metal weight
- Jewelry condition
- Current international gold and silver market prices at the assessment date
Pearls, stones, glue, decorative materials, plating loss, damaged non-metal components, packaging, and non-recoverable elements may not contribute to trade-in value.
Because precious metal market prices fluctuate continuously, assessment values may vary over time.
Approved Value Trade-In credit:
- Is issued as a Vénus e-voucher only
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
- Cannot be transferred to another customer
- Has no expiry date
- May be used together with eligible promotions where permitted
- May be combined with approved Vénus Super Vouchers where applicable
- Will not exceed 50% of the original product purchase price
Customers remain responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending trade-in items to Vénus.
We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping methods, as Vénus is not responsible for parcels lost or damaged during transit.
Once a trade-in submission has been assessed and an e-voucher has been issued, ownership of the submitted jewelry and recoverable materials permanently transfers to Vénus.
Trade-in items cannot be returned after assessment and voucher issuance have been completed.
Vénus reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Value Trade-In Program or its conditions at any time without prior notice.
Approved vouchers issued before any program changes remain valid under their original issued conditions.
Relax — no matter how much time passes, your Vénus jewelry will always remain eligible for Value Trade-In.

Intellectual Property
All content displayed on the Vénus website remains the intellectual property of Vénus.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Jewelry designs
- Product photography
- Branding and logos
- Videos and creative content
- Website layout and graphics
- Written descriptions and copy
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used commercially without prior written permission from Vénus.
Website Use
Users agree not to misuse the Vénus website or engage in activities that may:
- Disrupt website functionality
- Interfere with security systems
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Use automated scraping or copying tools
- Upload malicious software or harmful content
Vénus reserves the right to restrict access or terminate services where misuse is identified.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vénus will not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Delays caused by shipping carriers or customs authorities
- Damage caused through misuse or improper care
- Loss resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Temporary website interruptions
- Third-party platform or payment provider issues
- Delays outside our reasonable control
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes rights provided under applicable consumer protection laws.
